Song Dongye's long-awaited second album, "Zai Xiang Xiang", arrives 13 years after his previous release.

Written, composed, arranged, and produced entirely by Song Dongye himself, the album features more than 20 different instruments and sound sources, alongside collaborations with some of the leading figures of China's jazz scene, including Wen Zhiyong, Xia Jia, Gao Taixing, and musician Xing Jiangbo. Together, they create a richly layered soundscape of remarkable depth and density, resulting in a vast and intricately constructed musical world.

While Song occasionally adopts a mischievous, world-weary attitude, the album also reveals his uniquely detached perspective on the world around him, as well as the exceptional melodic gift and distinctive voice that have made him such a celebrated songwriter. Through these songs, the contours of Song Dongye as a person emerge with striking clarity.

An album that invites repeated listening—and, true to its title, makes you want to "think again" each time you return to it.
