John Coltrane, the eternal legend of jazz, would have celebrated his 100th birthday in September 2026. To commemorate the occasion, a selection of the masterpieces he left behind on Impulse! has been carefully chosen for release as hybrid SACDs. The masters use the latest digital sources from Verve in the U.S. The albums are also being released in a limited double-paper-sleeve edition, making them essential additions for longtime fans as well as new listeners.

This is an enduring masterpiece in which Coltrane’s classic quartet pushed the boundaries of improvisation at one of New York’s most prestigious jazz clubs. It features the definitive version of the classic "Afro Blue," while the breathtaking cadenza on "I Want to Talk About You" is an essential listen. Also included is the studio-recorded elegy "Alabama."
