From the Blue Note 80 Vinyl Edition series Mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes 180-gram LP pressed at Optimal in Germany Art Taylor was one of the greatest drummers in modern jazz who propelled the bands of Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Donald Byrd, Lee Morgan, Dexter Gordon, and many more. As a leader Taylor only recorded a handful of albums including 1960's A.T.'s Delight , which is a delightful and inventive set of hard bop that interprets the music of Coltrane, Monk, Davis, and Kenny Dorham with a stellar band featuring trumpeter Dave Burns and tenor saxophonist Stanley Turrentine. This Blue Note 80 vinyl edition is all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Optimal in Germany.
