Mayumi Kojima

While in high school, Mayumi Kojima was deeply inspired by the music of Rosemary Clooney and formed a band.

However, because she was not confident in English, she began writing and composing her own songs.

Ever since, the distinctive style of Mayumi Kojima has been to take music that might otherwise be gathering dust in a museum and infuse it with her own unique worldview.

She made her debut in July 1995 with the single "Kekkon Soudanjo."

Working at her own pace, she has released nine original albums to date.

In July 2025, she celebrated the 30th anniversary of her debut.
