STUTS has continued to develop his distinctive pop sound through collaborations with artists from Japan and around the world as a producer and trackmaker. In November 2026, marking the 10th anniversary of the release of his first album "Pushin’" in 2016, he is also set to hold the commemorative concert "Alone with" at Nippon Budokan.

Meanwhile, Taeko Onuki is one of Japan's leading singer-songwriters. In recent years, she has continued to perform actively, including her first overseas concert in Los Angeles in February 2026 and a headlining appearance at a festival in Taiwan.

Their new song "OHAYO" was written as the theme song for NHK's morning information program "Asaichi." The song was created around a vocal melody written by Taeko Onuki, with STUTS handling the track production and arrangement. It is now being released as a 7-inch single, with an instrumental version included on the B-side.

This is a strictly limited-edition release, so be sure to reserve a copy at your local record store.

Taking a different approach from STUTS' previous work, the track is also distinguished by its warm ensemble of strings and horns. Anzu Suhara contributed the string arrangement, Satoru Takeshima handled the horn arrangement, and Yusuke Sase performed trumpet and flugelhorn, with musicians closely associated with STUTS adding rich color to the song.

Taeko Onuki's timeless voice, her lyrics that gently accompany everyday life, and STUTS' delicate and beautiful trackmaking come together to create a refreshing pop song reminiscent of morning sunlight filtering through the leaves.

The track was mixed by STUTS himself and mastered by Nicolas de Porcel.
