THE SWITCH TROUT, the distinctive Yokkaichi band that made its mark on the Japanese garage scene of the 2000s with its one-of-a-kind garage-surf instrumental sound and released music not only in Japan through KOGA RECORDS but also in the United States and Europe, returns with its first new album in 20 years, "FRONT9 & 3PENALTIES."

According to bandleader Mickey Nakamurite, who has recently taken up golf with fellow musicians, the album’s 12 tracks were created around the concept of the world’s first golf instrumental album.

Created in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, this instrumental collection can also be described as a new form of mondo music launched into the Reiwa-era indie scene.

THE SWITCH TROUT return once again through streaming services and a physical edition limited to 300 copies on 12-inch LP.
