Mayumi Ikemizu of 90s Shibuya-style BRIDGE, who worked with Hideki Kaji and others, has released her first full-length album ''Three Berry Icecream''! There are 9 tracks in total, including the fast-paced ''Rainbow Mountain Road'', which is a must for fans of Sarah and Cherry Red, and the soft rock ''Another World'', reminiscent of Roger Nichols and The Zombies. The long-awaited new album is a solo unit but a studio album with a ''band'' theme. The band members include veterans such as Osamu Shimada of Swinging Popsicle/The Caraway, Kiyotaka Sugimoto of orangenoise shortcut and Yasushi Sakurai of Corniche Camomile, as well as mid-level and young musicians such as Hisashi Iwabuchi of Sloppy Joe and Miki Hirose of h-shallows, many musicians of all ages, from mid-career to young, have participated. Tomoko Kunimi of WACK WACK RHYTHM BAND on trumpet, Yasuhito Kawabe of Vasallo Crab 75 on violin, Keiko Tanaka on viola, Koji Tsutsumida of Johnny Dee on chorus, Santi Diego of the Spanish band Captain Sunrise. With a variety of guests who are well versed in neo-acoustic and soft rock music, Three Berry Icecream has created a new neo-acoustic sound that has never been heard before, and it is also the first time that Three Berry Icecream has sung in French. The album was recorded this summer at Happiness Studios, the same studio where Eito's ''Perfume'' and many other band albums were recorded. The mix engineer was Tatsuhiko Mori of Hammer Label and the mastering engineer was Seiki Sato of Micro Star. The result is a work that represents the neo-acoustic soft rock of the 20s. Artist Profile Three Berry Icecream is a solo project by Mayumi Ikemizu (ex.BRIDGE). After the dissolution of the band in 1995, Mayumi Ikemizu started her solo career by releasing a cassette tape of the songs she had written and sung while in BRIDGE. She released her first EP ''three berry icecream'' in the US in 1999 as a 7'' record, and her first mini-album ''apricot'' was released from Channel Production in Tokyo in July 2000, and her second mini-album ''Rain Drops'' was released independently in March 2006. Their simple, easy-to-sing melodies and English lyrics have attracted attention, and she has appeared at events in the US, Taiwan, Korea and other countries, and her songs has been included in more than 20 compilation albums in Japan and abroad. In 2017, the six original members of BRIDGE reunited for the first time in 22 years to perform at Harajuku Astro Hall and Peanut Camp. Three Berry Icecream then decided to collaborate with Brent Kenji (Friedrich Sunlight, ex.the Fairways), with whom they had previously toured in the USA. In December 2017, she released her new 7'' single in 11 years, ''three cheers'', and in October 2018, she released her all-time best album ''SUNSHINE ON MY MIND 1998-2018'' from Miobell Records, which contains 27 tracks including new songs to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her solo career. In addition, she participated in the Christmas compilation ''x'mas pavilion'' of *Blueberry label* in 2019, and released ''The Selection of Three Berry Icecream'', a compilation of their past works, as a 12-inch LP in 2020. So, her first full-length album ''Three Berry Icecream'' will be released from Miobell Records in November 2021 from Japan to the world.
