The long-awaited new album “Genjitsumu,” marking the second chapter of the reborn KUMORIGAHARA's progressive hard folk, is finally here!!

Having overcome a crisis following the departure of founding members, the reborn KUMORIGAHARA has made a fresh start by welcoming new members on vocals and drums.

This album, which showcases a hard-hitting and sensual evolution, is truly worthy of marking the beginning of the “Second Movement of Progressive Hard Folk.”

The highlight of this album is the new song "Mugen Houei," which was first performed at the "EXTREME Fes" progressive rock event hosted by the idol group XOXO EXTREME at CLUB CITTA in October 2025. This epic 30-minute track, featuring the Mellotron, paints a magnificent world where stillness and movement, reality and fantasy intertwine, overwhelming the audience with its scale and immersive experience. Inheriting the chaotic initial impulses, literary and lyrical worldview, and immersive experience through its lengthy structure as the core of Kumogahara, this song is a new signature track that symbolizes the reborn Kumogahara, bringing an unprecedented breadth to their sound.

The reborn Kumogahara has steadily gained recognition with each live performance, and is now being discussed not in terms of what they have "lost," but in terms of their "expanded potential."
