The Original Shockers’ First-Ever Recording!

A miraculous live album that brings their 1981 repertoire back to life after 45 years!

The original Shockers were formed in Nagoya in early 1981 amidst the post-punk and new wave movements by Hidehiko Nagai (Vocals/Guitar), Toru Kubota (Bass/Vocals), and Tatsuya Nakamura (Drums). They gained popularity through

monthly live performances at the live music venue ELL (Electric Lady Land) and as support acts for bands such as The Roosters, S-KEN, Hakuryu, and No Comments.

During this time, they rapidly improved their musicality, and in early 1982, under the production of S-KEN, they recorded two songs for a single at Meguro Mad Studio (these remained unreleased due to conflicts with the label).

In June of that year, this lineup of Shockers disbanded after just over a year of activity.

Since then, the three have continued their individual musical careers to this day (Nagai: Later Shockers, Bakeratta, Budou÷Grape, Piranica, etc.; Kubota: Plastic Soul Amanda, HIKOS!, etc.; Nakamura: OXYDOLL, The Genbaku Onanies, THE STAR CLUB, BLANKEY JET CITY, LOSALIOS, etc.)

After several reorganizations, they suddenly reunited in 2026. In February, they urgently recorded a live performance in their hometown of Nagoya.

After 45 years, recordings featuring the original members are finally being released.
