On Bitterzoet, Eefje shows her recognizable style, a dreamy world that acts just like magic hour between day and night and between sweet and bitter. The release of Bitterzoet marked Eefje's final release breakthrough; she received two Edisons (including one for Bittersweet), a 3FM Award, a BUMA Award, the 3voor12 Award for Best Dutch Album of the Year, the 3FM Scale of Rigter for the track ''Oh'', and the Gouden Notekraker. Bitterzoet is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on crystal clear vinyl.
