Includes: Three Ages (1923)Buster Keaton spoofs D.W. Griffith's "Intolerance" in his debut feature as writer/director/star. In three plotlines set during three different historical periods-the Stone Age, Ancient Rome, and modern America-the slightly built Buster competes with a brutish rival (Wallace Beery) for the affections of a winsome beauty (Margaret Leahy), confirming that the course of love has remained true through the years. With Lillian Lawrence, Kewpie Morgan. 63 min. Silent with music score. BW/Rtg: NR Our Hospitality (1923)Travelling to antebellum Dixie to claim his family estate, hapless heir Willie McKay (Buster Keaton) learns he's also inherited a long-standing feud with the clan of his new girlfriend (Natalie Talmadge, Keaton's real-life wife). A daring rescue performed by Buster at a waterfall is just one of the amazing stunts in this energetic silent romp. With Joe Keaton, Joe Roberts. 75 min. Silent with music score. BW/Rtg: NR Standard; Soundtrack: music score.
