One of the reference recordings of Schubert's Trout Quintet is the interpretation by star pianist Emil Gilels, three musicians of the legendary Amadeus Quartet (Norbert Brainin, violin; Peter Schidlof, viola; Martin Lovett, cello) and Rainer Zepperitz, double bass player of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
