Andre Hazes' album Kerstfeest Voor Ons was published in 1992. The album contains the Christmas classic and one of Hazes' first singles '' Lonely Christmas'', originally released in 1977. ''Lonely Christmas'' is based on Haze's experience in juvenile detention in combination with an experience from a cafe visitor. It achieved gold status in the Netherlands. The LP also contains ''I'm Alone At Christmas'' and ''I'm Lighting The Candle For Us'', in addition to 11 other special Christmas songs, recorded with the arrangements and producers team John van de Ven and Jacques Verburgt.
