Since the release of "EXTRA," their first new album in seven years, Triple Fire have steadily but surely continued to expand their presence. Following remarkable performances at Festival de FRUE, FUJI & SUN, and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2026, the band has established a unique position as a live act that simply has to be experienced.

Ahead of "Shijou Saidai no Sakusen," their largest-ever solo concert at Spotify O-EAST on June 27, 2026, Triple Fire released "Live on Fire" on June 3. The album captures what could be considered the band's current complete form: the four core members joined by Wakana Ikeda on flute, Naruki Numazawa on keyboards, and Shimada Boy on percussion, forming a seven-piece lineup.

The album features carefully selected performances from the recording concerts held in February 2026 under the title "Triple Fire no Sanbon Shoubu." Mixing was handled by Moky, with mastering by Jason Mitchell.

Signature songs from the band's four-piece era, including "Tsugi Yattara Naguru," "Skill Up," and "Game Shika Yattenai kara," gain an even deeper groove and greater sense of exhilaration through the seven-piece arrangements. Meanwhile, tracks such as "Zenkoku Taikai" were deliberately recorded with the four-piece lineup, emphasizing the band's more sharply defined post-punk side.

Although this is a live album, it also serves as an almost best-of-level overview of where Triple Fire stands today.

The artwork features a work by Yoshikazu Ebisu, an artist admired by the band members themselves. Somehow laid-back yet strangely powerful, the image perfectly resonates with Triple Fire's musical world, where humor and madness, everyday life and a sense of the uncanny coexist.

Music you can dance to, laugh to, and, for some reason, even shed a tear to.

Their unique musicianship layers together Afrobeat, post-punk, funk, and more, while Yasunao Yoshida's vocals have the ability to transform any arrangement into unmistakably his own song.

Triple Fire are a live band that has continued to create a strangely real groove unlike almost anything else in the world.

"Live on Fire" captures that appeal at its most concentrated, making it the definitive Triple Fire live album and one to savor on vinyl.
