At just 24 years old, Samara Joy is a female jazz vocalist from New York who has been praised for her overwhelming expressiveness reminiscent of Sarah Vaughan, with her ''custard-rich voice'' (NY Times) and ''tranquil, leisurely music'' (NPR). Despite her authentic jazz vocals, which are rare in recent years, she is also widely supported by the SNS generation, with over 650,000 TikTok followers and over 6 million likes. At the 65th Grammy Awards, her major debut album ''Linger Awhile'' won two awards, ''Best New Artist'' and ''Best Jazz Vocal Album''. At the following year's 66th Grammy Awards, her single ''Tight'' won the ''Best Jazz Performance'' award. ?Samara Joy, who continues to grow as an artist with unstoppable momentum, has released her long-awaited major debut second album. Recorded over three days in February 2024 at Van Gelder Studios, where many classic albums have been recorded.
